Group Career Workshops

Beginning in 2024, I will be offering online group workshop sessions via Zoom focussed on work transition for a set number of weeks at different times during the year. These may be a good option for you if your concerns are related to career change, work searching or job loss, and you would like to interact with others going through similar experiences.

Group descriptions and dates are provided below and will be periodically updated.

Resilience in Transition: Job-Seeking and Career Change

Current Offerings: TBA

This 6-workshop online series (offered via Zoom) combines psychotherapy support, career planning, and work search approaches to help participants adjust to current employment challenges and discover ways to move forward with hope and support.  Psychoeducation and group discussion are combined with small group interactions among participants (groups of 2 or 3) to provide social support and enable sharing of experiences.  Topics covered include deepening relationships; the current work context; building resilience; self-care; career planning; and job search engagement. Workshops are 90 minutes.  A maximum of 20 participants may register in each offering of this series.

Registrants are expected to participate in all 6 sessions to obtain full benefit of the program and to sustain interpersonal cohesion within the group.  Please register for the first session using the link provided below; you will be automatically be registered in the remainder of the sessions with Zoom links sent weekly before the meeting.  You must have a credit card on file and you will be billed for each workshop separately following each session.  Fees may be covered by insurance plans covering Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying); please check your individual plan.

The workshop series uses the Work Intervention Network (WIN) career program developed at Boston College (Blustein, D.L., Mazur, A., Allan, B., Autin, K., Cinamon, R.G., Ferreira, J., Kozan, S., Sharone, O., Stevenson, B., Thompson, M. (2020)).
